Blog Key Post 2 - Line of Enquiry
The assigned brief has been handed to us and is based on the designer known as William Wilde, and the old folktale Cinderella. Since the research section we have developed onto filming for the project. As a group we decided to use Pixilation Animation, as it can collaborate with all of our chosen mediums such as Graphic Design, digital compositing, visual special effects and 2D Animation.

Aside demonstrates from the pitch presentation
to William Wilde himself, which team member Rowan Thorp has devised a clear and consistent storyboard on where and when specific shots and moments will take place within the animation. From beginning to end we have outlined what type of shots we are using, to gain that connection in the audience and what they are supposed to be concentrating on. For example on shot 7, we have created a close-up shot, to indicate she is departing from the carriage, progressing onto the next scene. In addition we have decided to have shot 1 of the invitation in 2D animation rather than live-action, as it is going to be placed on the mirror on the next scene where she is trying dresses on
In addition there will be a graphic design implementation to proceed with this after filming. Myself has been assigned to graphic design typographer, so specific scenes have that engagement with the audience such as when she finds a dress that is perfect, there will be designed elements within the background which will have an impact what is going on in the foreground. Therefore we have applied a green screen, which allow any form of life to be blended with the surroundings within the software, and its elements alike such as 2D animation and typography work too.

Towards the right we have also supplied ourselves with a spotlight and positioned it towards the middle-left. This is to interact with the canon camera fluently, and so it works with the mood settings for the film too.

As there was very little creases we were able to film and prepare our footage for compositing after we filmed the model. On the right we have searched and found a professional model for our project. Posing a variety of positions such as trying dresses on and looking in the mirror (trying on dress influence https://www.williamwilde.com/collections/dairy-queen/products/latex-milkmaid-mini-dress).

Latex Milkmaid Mini Dress
Aside to the right shows the milkmaid mini dress. This is one of the main positions which our model performed in the shoot. As it has visually demonstrated aside, it is a suitable pose for a clear medium shot of her body, then proceeds onto trying others on. However, this is the length we are going for towards the end, as it can show where we plan to rip her dress and make it Wilde.

Overall as a group we were able to communicate with her on what was required and was influenced by William Wilde modelling for his latex range. From this we completed filming, which will be reflected back on the next post.
